ML - Someone New

I had a hard time coming up with a new to catch the sentiment in this one.
It sort of has multiple parts.

When dating someone, I'll often change a bit so that I fit them better. It's not major things, but it's enough to be sort of noticeable (at least to me). So when going from dating one person to someone new, I'll find that the sort of clothes I wear and buy usually change.

I also have this habit of purposely changing right after a breakup. For instance, after my most recent breakup, I dyed my hair darker (to a color he never liked) and cut it short (because I kept it longer because he once said he liked longer hair on girls). I would both say that I did these things because we broke up and that I didn't do them because of it. They're things that I may have done anyway, but things I didn't do when we were together.

Anyway, the original sentiment behind this was "My love is... becoming someone you wouldn't love" but I didn't feel that exactly captured the sentiment. Though I admit I have felt a lot like that as I've changed my hair cut and color and started drifting more towards clothes I stopped wearing when I was with him. I think a part of me hopes that if I become someone he wouldn't love, I'll stop caring about him.
